Activities
DAY 1: HO CHI MINH – MY THO – BEN TRE – CAN THO (Lunch)
Your journey begins with a comfortable minivan ride from Ho Chi Minh City to the lush Mekong Delta, Vietnam’s most fertile and culturally vibrant region. Enjoy a relaxing drive through scenic rice fields, small villages, and fruit orchards that stretch endlessly along the roadside.
Your first stop will be at the Vinh Trang Pagoda, a century-old Buddhist temple blending Vietnamese, Chinese, and Khmer architectural styles. This peaceful site is adorned with giant Buddha statues and intricate wood carvings, symbolizing the spiritual heart of the Mekong Delta.

Continue to My Tho City, where your Mekong adventure truly begins. Board a traditional wooden boat and gently cruise along the mighty Mekong River, passing floating houses and fish farms that showcase the resourceful way of life in this region.
Arriving at Ben Tre Province, known as the “Kingdom of Coconuts,” you will explore a small coconut island. Visit a local workshop to observe how coconuts are processed into various products such as candy, oil, and crafts.
Next, stop at a local family’s home to taste honey tea, tropical fruits, and handmade snacks, while enjoying a performance of Đờn Ca Tài Tử – the soulful traditional folk music recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Afterward, hop on a hand-rowed sampan and drift through narrow palm-lined canals – a peaceful and unforgettable moment that captures the true spirit of the Mekong Delta.

Lunch will be served at a riverside restaurant featuring local specialties such as deep-fried elephant ear fish, caramelized pork in clay pot, and fresh spring rolls.
In the afternoon, take a short break to relax or explore nearby villages before heading to Can Tho City, the capital of the Mekong Delta.
Dinner on your own. Overnight stay in a 3-star hotel in Can Tho.
Note: The itinerary for Day 1 may be adjusted depending on the day and local conditions.
Alternative route: Instead of Vinh Trang Pagoda and Thoi Son Island, the tour may visit Cai Be, including Ba Kiet Ancient House, a boat trip on the Tien River, a coconut candy workshop, and a Đờn Ca Tài Tử traditional music performance.
DAY 2: CAN THO – CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET – CHAU DOC (Breakfast, Lunch)
Wake up early to experience the Cai Rang Floating Market, the most famous and bustling floating market in the Mekong Delta. After breakfast, take a boat trip through a network of waterways to witness the colorful chaos of local traders exchanging goods directly from their boats.

Watch how boats are decorated with samples of their products – pineapples, melons, pumpkins, and more – hanging on long poles so buyers can recognize them from afar. This vibrant marketplace has been a lifeline of local commerce for centuries.
Continue cruising through small canals to observe everyday life on the riverbanks: stilt houses, children waving, farmers working in fruit orchards. Visit a rice noodle workshop, where you can see how Vietnam’s beloved noodles are made from scratch using traditional methods.
Enjoy lunch in Can Tho City, then depart for Chau Doc, a charming riverside town near the Cambodian border. Along the way, admire the countryside scenery dotted with rice paddies, water buffaloes, and palm trees.
Upon arrival, visit the Tra Su Cajuput Forest (Bird Sanctuary) — an ecological treasure home to hundreds of bird species. Glide smoothly in a small boat through emerald waterways covered with duckweed, surrounded by the sound of nature and the sight of white storks, herons, and kingfishers flying overhead.

Evening: Free time to explore Chau Doc Night Market or visit Sam Mountain, a spiritual site with many ancient temples.
Overnight stay in Chau Doc.
DAY 3: CHAU DOC – PHNOM PENH (Breakfast)
After breakfast, the car will take you to the pier to prepare for the speedboat trip to Phnom Penh. You will arrive in Phnom Penh at 12:00, ending the journey.
